CENSORSHIP!
Sarah: Oh, I'll be home for the Kentucky Derby! Did you know the Queen is going to be there?
Mom: *stunned silence*
Sarah: No, at the Kentucky Derby, not our house.
*later that week*
Mom: The Queen better get here soon. Marie's in her chair!
Sarah: She could sit in that chair.
Alfie: Why? You can't let the Queen sit in the chair you peed in!
Mom: A lot of people have sat in that chair since Sarah peed in it.
More family hijinks
Alfie: Wow, there are so many horses running in the Kentucky Derby that I think they had to get some new jockeys. I've never heard of some of these guys.
Sarah: What are you doing? How are you so familiar with jockeys? What do you do, scope the sports page for jockeys?
Alfie: No, of course not. I'm not a super model.

Fun times in the nerdiest family alive
Alfiedad: So, your shirt says "Singing in the rain" on it?
Me: Yeah, or "Bringing the pain."
Alfiedad: Singing in the rain.
Me: Yeah, and that's Lina Lamont on the back.
Alfiemom: Or Death.
Me: So this one time I was trapped in a closet with Alex and his ex-roommate and Alex was trying to feel Rob up.
(Family looks at me strangely)
Me: You know, the closet that moves between floors.
Alfiemom: You mean an elevator?

Does it seem to anyone else that I like to talk about blood?

HOLA SARAH!
I was at the Academic Fair tonight. I ran into some of Sarah's old professors there. They both said "Hello, Sarah!" One of them knows who I am, the other one saw my card and said, "Do you have a sister who went here? Oh yes, Sarah! I had her in my class last year! Tell her I said hello!"
I also ran into Dr. Reimann. He gave me some information sheets about Computer Science that had FOXTROT cartoons on them. Heehee! I think I might take Computer Science 151, because I don't think I would be able to handle CS 171.
By the way, if you are reading this, Mom and Dad, feel free to comment. Dr. Reimann says hi.

I'm tired
I woke up at 6:15 this morning so that I could make sure that I got to lab on time. Usually, this is normal. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but today is Tuesday. I'm not going to be able to go to lab on Thursday, so I decided to go today. I woke up, went to breakfast with three other people at my hall and proceeded to confuse this guy we were all eating with. When you have three Beckys and a Sarah, things can be a little overwhelming. Having three Beckys and two Laurens on one hall is confusing enough but if we all walk around campus together, it's a Becky-overload. I AM SO GLAD I DO NOT HAVE LAB ON THURSDAY. I do not need to go to a three hour lab, then spend a really long time trapped in a car with my sister, it would make tension between us explode. I do not want my mommy to have to dustbust her children out of the van after we drive each other nuts and start trying to tear each other to bits.

Dreaming of the possibility
I like my privacy. I do not like performing in front of people, I have bad stage fright. However, I love singing, impersonating and dancing around (flailing is more like it). Someday it would be cool to perform in a Broadway musical, but the stage fright causes a problem. When Sarah and I saw a production of "My Fair Lady," we came up with a solution. She will play all of the parts on the stage, and I will be behind the curtain doing the singing a la "Singing in the Rain." We actually used to do that when we were younger because I'm shorter than her. I would stand behind her and we'd call our parents out to watch. I'd start singing and she would be in front of me lip-synching. I doubt that would ever work on Broadway but a girl can dream.
