I blogged earlier about my hope that one day the fashionable clothing style would go back to that of the late 17th-early 18th century, like in Pride and Prejudice, Emma and The Scarlet Pimpernel. I thought of another thing that I find cool about that time period. Even though it was not in the book, the people who filmed Pride and Prejudice added a scene in which Mr. Darcy was fencing. In the Scarlet Pimpernel, Percy fences/swordfights all of the time. Fencing is cool. If I didn’t think that I would find a way to impale myself, I would want to try fencing.
